SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Looks like a lot of people are moving out of New Jersey.
According to a new study by United Van Lines, more people moved out of New Jersey in 2018 than any other state.
New Jersey came in first on the list of “most moved from” states, followed by Illinois, Connecticut, then New York, according to the 42nd annual National Movers Study, which tracks customers’ state-to-state moving patterns.
Four Western states rounded out the top 5 “moved to” list — Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona.
When it comes to Arizona, is the first time they make the top 5 list with 60.2% people moving to the state, the study showed.
A total of 39.8 percent of people moved away from the Grand Canyon State.
The age of people moving in and out also remained level, with people ages 55 or older apparently moving to Arizona more than any other age group.
Those ages 55 and older were the groups moving out more than any other group as well.
