March was the busiest month ever for Phoenix Sky Harbor

PHOENIX – Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport broke a huge record by having the busiest month of travel ever in Arizona’s history in March, according to the City of Phoenix. 

“These numbers show the continued demand for travel to and from our state. It’s crucial with the increased passenger demand that we continue to provide world-class facilities and service to our customers. The capital investment program currently underway at Sky Harbor would allow us to accommodate much-needed future capacity,” said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego.

About 146,000 travelers per day visited Sky Harbor, beating the previous record of 120,000 per day. All of this is due to Spring Training, spring break, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and more.

And on top of that, winter and spring have been fantastic here in the desert so it just makes sense, right?
