MUST-SEE: 'Color Purple' cast sings Purple Rain

People from around the world are mourning the loss of Prince, including some of the stars on Broadway.

After Thursday night's curtain call, the cast of "The Color Purple", which includes Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo, took to the stage to deliver a powerful rendition of Prince's song, "Purple Rain."

"As we all know, today we lost a legend," Hudson said to the audience. "Tonight, if you guys don't mind, we would like to you join us in honoring Prince."

The video was posted on the Broadway show's Facebook page and as of this writing had been viewed more than 520,000 times. Watch the video embedded below:

Prince, 57, was found Thursday morning in an elevator at his home in Minnesota, according to sheriff's officials. First responders attempted CPR, but it was too late.

Officials are now investigating the singer's death.
