The Pima County Sheriff's Department has arrested one suspect in connection to the break-in at the Trinity Diamonds store at 6070 North Oracle Road on October 8.

Abel Mendoza Gutierrez, 43, has been charged with 3rd degree burglary.

Just after 1 a.m., deputies responded to the Trinity Diamonds store where they found evidence of a break-in and significant damage done to the front door of the business.

As the investigation continued, detectives determined that a male suspect wearing a red hoodie , blue jeans and white shoes, used a rock to break the front door glass.

Once inside, the suspect broke into the safe behind the front counter and grabbed multiple items. Witnesses said the suspect ran to a red Dodge Durango and left northbound on oracle Road.

Detectives determined that the total loss in damages and merchandise to the business was in excess of $11,000.

Two people who were seen inside the store that Friday afternoon. One suspect is still at large.She is described as having dark hair, is about 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds.
