Old Tucson Studios founder Bob Shelton has died at age 95, a studio rep confirmed.

Shelton acquired the site, at 201 S. Kinney Road, in 1960. The studio quickly became a popular tourist destination and was the filming site of several famous Westerns, including "Broken Arrow" and "Winchester '73," as well as TV series "Gunsmoke."

Services are pending.
