Want to work from home? Here's where to start

PHOENIX - Whether you're looking to set your own hours or just make some extra money, working from home is tempting.

The Federal Trade Commission says a lot of the job postings are from scammers wanting you to pay them.

The FTC says some of the biggest are, medical billing, rebate processing, and mystery shopping.

Usually, they'll require upfront money, or send you a bogus check to cash.

But there, are legitimate jobs available if you know what to look for.

Search using the words "remote" or "telecommute" instead of work from home.

Look for opportunities within large companies.

Right now, jobs listings are shown for U-Haul, Alaska Airlines, and American Express in the Phoenix area.
