A bunch of Flagstaff school kids came to ABC15 recently.

They wanted to take me on in a skills challenge involving consumer concerns.

Normally, I wouldn't flinch.

But, these kids are Lifesmarts members.

They're smart, they study these things, and they love to compete.

Lifesmartsis a nationwide program set in schools.

The kids are 6-12th graders and learn life skills involving everyday consumer transactions, food safety, pollution, finances and more.

In fact, last year, they beat me at my own game.

This year, well, it was closer.

But again, the Lifesmarts team took it.

They're in Pittsburgh this week going for the national championship.

We wish them the best.

Joining Lifesmarts is easy.

They're great kids and I hope we continue our battles for years to come.
