Ice refund: Get money back if you bought ice from grocery, convenience store

If you bought bags of ice from a grocery or convenience store, you may be entitled to some money back.
 
Ice companies agreed to pay consumers $2.7 million in a settlement of a class action lawsuit.
 
The lawsuit accuses packaged ice companies of fixing the prices of bags and blocks of ice, which allegedly meant higher prices for consumers.
 
The settlement involves ice made by the following companies: The Home City Ice Company, Arctic Glacier Inc., Arctic Glacier International Inc., Arctic Glacier Income Fund, Reddy Ice Corporation, and Reddy Ice Holdings Inc.
 
Consumers can get up to $12 without proof, but can qualify for more with receipts.
 
The deadline to file is May 17, 2017.
 
The settlement involves ice purchases in the following states:

Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan

Missouri
