Do you know your phones IP rating?
It usually shows IP followed by two numbers.
And those two numbers tell you how much protection your phone has against the elements.
Data Doctors Ken Colburn says the first number is for solid objects like dust.
The highest rating is a 6.
The second number indicates moisture protection.
The highest rating is an 8.
Colburn says a phone with an IP67 or IP68 offers the best protection.
The ratings mean these phones should be able to be submerged in shallow water for a short period of time.
The iphone 7 has an IP67.
The Samsung Galaxy s7 has an IP68.
