Tuesday, Sept. 18 is apparently National Cheeseburger Day!
Of course, it’s a made-up holiday, but restaurants are honoring the holiday as a real deal by offering some cheesy discounts and freebies today.
Here are some deals that will be available at participating locations nationwide.
Be sure to check with your local restaurant to see if they’re honoring the deal:
Black Angus Steakhouse: The Steakhouse Bacon Cheeseburger and Guacamole Burger, fries or coleslaw and choice of a 16-ounce draft beer are $10.99 at participating locations in the bar area. Offers may vary by location.
Burger King: Find ongoing specials at www.bk.com/offers and coupons in the chain’s app.
Fatburger: If you’re in Los Angeles, get free delivery from one of the 35 Fatburger restaurants in the area with Postmates. The deal started Monday and goes through Sept. 23 with no minimum required. Open the Postmates app and look for the Fatburger collection.
Fuddruckers: The chain’s value meals are a weekday special available all-day Monday through Thursday and until 4 p.m. Friday. The cheeseburger deal combo with fries and drink is $8 at participating locations listed at www.fuddruckers.com/valuemeals.
GrubHub: Now through Sept. 24, the food delivery service and Venmo are offering $10 off any order $15 or more. Place the order in the GrubHub app, pay with Venmo and enter promo code VENMOTREAT. The Sister program, Seamless, is offering the same deal with the same code.
Habit Burger Grill: Through Sept. 30, make a donation to No Kid Hungry and get a certificate for a free Charburger with cheese to redeem on a future visit through Oct. 2.
IHOP: From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., IHOP will offer two free regular or pumpkin pancakes when you order any Steakburger.
McDonald’s: The McDouble will be just $1. You will need to grab the coupon from the McDonald’s app for this one. It’s valid through December 30, 2018, and can be used once per day.
Red Robin: In honor of the unofficial holiday, this chain will offer its Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger and Bottomless Steak Fries for $5, for each adult-sized beverage purchase. It is valid at participating locations and is only a dine-in option.
Ruby Tuesday: Purchase an entrée between September 18 and 19, and receive a free Ruby Tuesday Cheeseburger. In order to qualify, you will need to sign up for their So Connected rewards program, which is free. You will also receive a free Garden Bar entrée or burger on your birthday, and a free appetizer when you sign up. This is valid only as a dine-in option.
Sonic: This restaurant chain is offering cheeseburgers at half the price from 5 p.m. to close. They are also offering their Carhop Classic Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger and Medium Tots, or their Classic Sonic Signature Slider and Medium Tots for $2.99 for a limited time. Not all locations are participating, so call ahead.
: Through the fast-food chains’ app, customers can get a free Dave’s Single with a purchase, every day. They say they are offering the deal in honor of National Cheeseburger Wendy’s
Day, but decided to extend the celebratory offer for the entire month.
