Court records reveal that on June 10 around 10 p.m., a man was shot by his wife while he was in his car in west Phoenix. The man identified her to fficials by writing her name on a postcard.

Police report that a woman, later identified as 39-year-old Julandeva Leresa Lane, was driving a maroon sedan when she pulled up to a man's car near 51st Avenue and Camelback Road. Witnesses tell police they heard a gunshot then saw the car leave the area.

A witness saw the victim exit his car and they then provided assistance until medical personnel arrived.

Police say the man was shot in the jaw and could not talk at the time. He communicated with police by writing Lanes' name down on a postcard.

Police say this is not the first time Lane has assaulted her husband with a gun. On January 5, she allegedly struck him with a gun several times causing a cut over his left eye. A witness to that incident reported that she also pointed the gun at him before he was able to get out of the car and run away.

Lane is facing multiple charges including attempted 2nd degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
