Police say officers arrested a man after he intended to have sex with a minor.
Court records show a Phoenix man sent sexually explicit photos of himself and offered gifts for sex to what he thought was a 14-year-old girl, but was really a police officer.
Police report 31-year-old Efren Osuna Plath and an undercover officer, posing as a minor, established a relationship online. During one of their conversations, Plath allegedly sent sexually explicit photos of himself and professed his desire to engage in sexual activity with the teen.
He reportedly offered to bring the girl marijuana, alcohol and lingerie at their meeting.
The meeting was set for April 13 near 12th Street and Bell Road, where undercover officers were waiting for him.
Plath has been charged with attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
