A man is in custody after allegedly stealing a car and ramming into two unmarked police cruisers in Tempe on November 2.

Authorities initially responded to the area of Broadway Road and McClintock Drive after receiving reports of a stolen car.

Two officers in unmarked police cars used the stolen vehicle's GPS to locate near Rural Road and Alameda Drive.

When the officers approached the stolen car, the suspect rammed into the unmarked police cruisers as well as another vehicle driving in the area, a Tempe spokesperson said.

According to a Tempe police spokeswoman, the cars sustained minor damage, and the person who was driving in the area suffered minor injuries.

Police say the stolen car was driven by 29-year-old Ibrahim Nasr Badri of Tucson. The victim's wallet was reportedly found in Badri pant's pocket.

He has been charged with car theft, unlawful flight, criminal damage, and endangerment.
