Police said a man attempted to evade officers by jumping onto rooftops and climbing a tree.
Officers responded to the area of Eighth Avenue and Indian School Road on March 20 to investigate a report of a man sitting on on the roof of a home where he did not live.
When officers arrived sure enough there was a man seated on the roof.
Police said the man, later identified as 31-year-old Scott Ian Rose, jumped off the roof when he saw officers and ran across the street where he climbed a 30-foot tree.
They asked him to come down. He didn't, according to the police report. Instead, he jumped into the rooftop of another home where he again refused to come down.
It took the Phoenix Fire Department, firefighters and some ladders to access Rose and bring him down from the roof.
In the end, Rose was booked into jail for criminal trespassing.
