Delta Air Line employees were able recognize two men who allegedly stole bags from an airport carousel at Phoenix Sky Harbor.

Police report that on September 20, 19-year-old Anthony Paulo Sarno and 38-year-old Richard David Hardy, were seen on surveillance video taking a bag from an airport carousel in Terminal 3.

The bag was reported missing by a Delta Air Line passenger saying the contents of the bag were worth about $1,000.

Police say the video shows Sarno and Hardy coming to the airport on the light rail, walking around carousels in Terminal two before taking the bag from carousel seven in Terminal 3. The video then shows them leaving the airport on the PHX Sky Train.

Surprisingly, the two men returned to the airport the very next day and were recognized by Delta personnel, who contacted police.

Upon their arrest, the two men reportedly admitted to being the people in the video, with Sarno telling police that he stole the bag to give to the poor.

Hardy and Sarno are facing charges of burglary and theft.
