A woman says she returned to her Tempe home and discovered a man in her kitchen holding a knife.

On April 20, a woman called police after finding 33-year-old Sun Benedict Arellano inside her home located near Mill Avenue and Apache Boulevard.

According to police, Arellano allegedly entered the home through a kitchen window and ate her food and drank her alcohol.

The woman said that when she returned home she noticed her cabinet was damaged. Shortly after, she was confronted by Arellano who is accused of holding a knife over his head and reaching towards her with his other hand, officials said.

The woman told authorities that she ran out of the house and was helped by a neighbor who called 911.

When officers arrived to the home they found Arellano on the woman's front lawn, police said. The man was carrying the victim's backpack which contained her clothes and wallet. They also found beers and a bottle of tequila.

He is being held on a $100,000 bond and has been charged with burglary and aggravated assault.
