Court records show that, just after midnight on June 14, a man entered a Circle K near 35th and Dunlap avenues and using a machete as a threat demanded money from the clerk.

Police say the man, later identified as 36-year-old Nathanael Noble, put a number of items on the store counter along with a machete. Noble reportedly demanded money from the clerk who told him she could not open the register without a purchase.

Police say that Noble then took the items, valued at $42.72, and ran from the store.

Police caught up with Noble after he was found walking along 35th Avenue about two miles north of the Circle K.

Noble has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
