SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Two women were arrested for stealing over $50,000 in cash and jewelry from a man they met at a casino.

Scottsdale police report that on May 5 a Scottdale resident met Celestine Moneque Canty, 36, and Antonette Unique Adamson, 28, at the Talking Stick Resort Casino. He invited the women to his home, where they hung out for a few hours.

After the women left, the victim found several items missing from his home, including $18,000 in cash, two watches worth nearly $20,000 and a gold and diamond ring worth about $10,000. Security at the casino reported to Scottsdale police that several hotel patrons said that they were targeted for theft by two women matching the description given by the Scottsdale victim.

Casino staff identified Adamson as one of the women. Police verified that she pawned two items belonging to the victim. Canty was later identified and found on surveillance video using the victim's credit cards at a Phoenix Target store.

On May 18, Adamson was located and arrested by casino security. Police found a hotel key to a hotel in Tempe. When police searched her room, they found Canty and some of the stolen items.

Police say Canty has an arrest record in six states that are "too many to list," while Adamson has a "litany of felony arrests for solicitation and theft."

They were both given $25,000 cash bonds for theft, burglary, and trafficking in stolen property.
