TEMPE, AZ — A Tempe man allegedly posed as a minor to exchange sexually explicit photos with underage teenagers.
Tempe police report that on December 12, they arrested Frank Jiang Lin, 20, at his apartment near Mill Avenue and Broadway Road.
In August, the Tempe Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from a social media company saying a user had uploaded child pornography. The internet account was tracked to Lin's apartment in Tempe.
Police say over the past five months, Lin had multiple sexual conversations with at least 25 minors. In most of these conversations, Lin allegedly posed as a minor and exchange sexual pictures with the victims.
In one chat message, another user explains to Lin how to pose as a minor when talking with them, according to court records. Police say the victims are between 13 and 17 years old.
He has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
