TEMPE, AZ — A Tempe apartment maintenance worker is facing trespassing charges after he was allegedly seen on a "nanny cam" sniffing a female tenant's underwear.

Tempe police report that on February 3, they responded to the Ponderosa Ranch apartments near Hardy Drive and Baseline Road.

A female tenant alerted police that she saw a maintenance worker, identified as 45-year-old Jesus Torres Hernandez, going through her underwear drawer.

The woman reportedly saw Hernandez on her "nanny cam" going through her underwear and sniffing them. Police say she was unable to record the incident but did manage to get still photos of Hernandez holding the clothing.

Hernandez was reportedly in the apartment to complete a work order, and no one was home at the time.

Police say he admitted to picking up the underwear but denied sniffing them.

He has been charged with criminal trespassing.
