PHOENIX — A man was arrested after allegedly running over a victim and dragging him 30 feet before walking into a West Phoenix store.

Phoenix police report that on January 15, they responded to a store near 75th Avenue and McDowell Road for a hit-and-run crash.

Witnesses reportedly told police that a suspect backed over another man with his rear tires, dragging him about 30 feet.

The suspect then pulled forward into a parking spot, running over the victim a second time.

The suspect, Octavio Anthony Gonzalez, 26, allegedly walked into the store while witnesses gave aid to the victim.

Surveillance video obtained by police reportedly shows Gonzalez as the driver when his vehicle ran over the victim.

According to police, Gonzalez said he was unaware that he had struck anyone.

He has been charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.
