A group of men from northern Arizona is accused of driving to the Valley to buy drugs and steal cars.

Mesa police say on Aug. 30, six men between the ages of 18 to 22 years old, are accused of committing two armed robberies and 12 car burglaries in two Mesa neighborhoods near University Drive and Lindsey Road.

According to court paperwork, 22-year-old Collin Taylor Alseth and Stephen Paul Shuker, 20, are from Prescott Valley and Rahsaan Dmitry Bennett Drake, 22; Kaleb Myles Alexander-Drake, 18; Cody Tobler, 19; and Kenne Tshanny Hoag, 19, are from Williams.

Police say the suspects reportedly admitted to coming to the Valley to buy illegal drugs in Phoenix and Mesa before burglarizing cars in the Mesa neighborhood.

The men are also accused of stealing electronics, cigarettes, concert tickets, a birth certificate, car registration and a handgun.

Shuker is accused of using the handgun in at least two of the robberies. All of the men allegedly admitted to their involvement in the crime, court paperwork said.

All of them have been charged with burglary, while Hoag has also been charged with aggravated assault and Shuker with armed robbery.
