A worker at a Scottsdale resort is accused of having sex with a teenage guest on vacation.

Scottsdale police report that on June 19 they arrested 22-year-old Carlos Rodriguez for sexual conduct with a minor girl, in her early teens.

Police say the girl and her family were vacationing at the Scottsdale Links Resort near Pima and Bell roads in June 2017.

Rodriguez saw the girl walking around the resort with a friend and later went to her hotel room, saying he needed to spray for bugs.

They exchanged Snapchat information so they could communicate. Rodriguez then asked the girl to meet him away from the hotel. She walked off the hotel grounds, and Rodriguez reportedly drove her across the street, where they had sexual relations.

After the girl returned home, Rodriguez kept in contact with the girl, exchanging sexually explicit photos with her.

After alerting police, the girl communicated with Rodriguez while investigators were present.

Police say Rodriguez admitted to knowing the girl's age and having sexual relations with her. He also reportedly requested that the girl delete the sexually explicit photos they sent each other.

On June 19 Rodriguez was seen by officers leaving the resort, and he was pulled over and arrested.

He is facing multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
