Police reports say a man riding a motorized scooter got stabbed for being "in the way."

On August 31st, near 54th Avenue and McDowell Road a man was riding his motorized scooter on the sidewalk when 25-year-old Eliseo Lopez stepped out and stabbed him under his right arm.

The man on the scooter managed to get to a Circle K down the street to call for help.

Police found Lopez sitting in the doorway of the apartment a block away. Police report that they found a knife on Lopez with fresh blood on the tip.

Lopez later admitted to pushing the man because he was"'in the way."

He has been charged with aggravated assault.
