A family friend is accused of molesting a pre-teen girl seven years ago.

Phoenix police report that on June 1 they arrested 32-year-old Juan Bernardo Valenzuela-Rojo at his home near 21st Avenue and Van Buren Street.

A girl told her family that she was molested by Rojo, a family friend, seven years ago as a pre-teen.

She reportedly told police that her family was visiting Rojo at his home when everyone else went somewhere and she was alone with Rojo.

She allegedly said she was putting lotion on her legs when Rojo reportedly pulled her into another room and touched her in a sexual manner.

The girl ran from the room.

In an interview with detectives Rojo allegedly told them that he was drunk and 'made a mistake.'

Rojo is being held on a $50,000 bond for sexual conduct with a minor.
