A man trespassing inside a Phoenix church reportedly made threats against the pastor, church members and police.

Phoenix police report that on June 15 they responded to the Beula Church near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road where a man was trespassing.

Witness reportedly told police that the suspect, later identified as Marlon Watkins, was inside the church wearing only boxer shorts. He demanded water and claimed, "This was his house, owned by his family."

Police say he was verbally aggressive toward the pastor and church members who urged him to leave. Police were able to convince him to exit the church building, but he refused to leave the property and was arrested by police.

Watkins, who also goes by the alias "Michael Corleone," made threats against the police and families and assaulted one of the officers.

Watkins has been charged with aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.
