A man who reportedly stole items from a car then threatened the victim with a machete.
Phoenix Police report that early Monday morning, 33-year-old Cory Ekolu Hiroki De La Cruz removed property from a parked car. He was being watched by the victim from her security camera.
The woman followed De La Cruz while calling the police. At one point, De La Cruz allegedly pulled a machete from his backpack and threatened to hurt the victim.
Police located De La Cruz about a half mile away, they say the value of the property he took was about $25.
He's been charged with burglary and aggravated assault.
