A north Phoenix man is accused of posting images on the internet him after violently sexually assaulting a woman.
Court records show that earlier this month, 35-year-old Christopher Frank Conway tortured his girlfriend by using knives, cigarettes and a drill.
Conway use tape to restrain the unidentified woman, police said.
While the victim was restrained, the suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the woman multiple times, police said. Conway allegedly held a knife to her throat, burned her legs with cigarettes and held a drill to her head.
Authorities said Conway shared an image on Snapchat of himself holding the drill to the woman's head and spinning her hair around the drill bit.
The victim’s adult children saw the picture and tried to contact the victim but were unsuccessful.
The woman managed to escape from the home, near 27th and Peoria avenues, while Conway was asleep, officials said.
She successfully flagged down an officer on the roadway and told him or her what had occurred.
Conway denied the allegations and said they were playing a game. However, police said that video of the incident supports the victim's account.
Conway is being held without bond on several charges of sexual assault, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
