A man was hit with a skate board while trying to help a woman who was about to be assaulted.
Phoenix Police report that on April 10 a man witnessed a 'heated argument' between a man and a woman.
The argument turned physical when police say 36-year-old Ceasar Alejandro Salazar grabbed a skateboard and tried to hit the woman.
Before he could strike her, another man intervened and grabbed Salazar.
Salazar reportedly struggled with the man breaking free of his grip. He then allegedly grabbed the skateboard and struck the man in the face, possibly breaking his nose.
Police arrived shortly after at the area near 27th Avenue and Bell Road where they arrested Salazar.
He's been charged with aggravated assault.
