A man reportedly used a wrench and a power cord to murder another man after an argument at a Phoenix hotel.

Phoenix Police report that on September 21, a man, later identified as 52-year-old Todd Marchant, was in a verbal argument with another man at a hotel near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Witnesses reported to police that they saw Marchant banging on a hotel door before going into his car and getting a wrench.

Police say Marchant used that wrench to strike the victim several times in the head. He then allegedly used an electrical cord to strangle and kill the victim.

Marchant was located in the same area three days later and arrested for second-degree murder. He's being held on a $750,000 bond.
