PHOENIX — A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged for doing doughnuts on a major Phoenix street.

The incident happened on May 18 about 10:30 p.m. near 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Police say they caught Danny Martinez Garcia doing doughnuts on 43rd Avenue across all six lanes of traffic.

Authorities say Garcia caused, "massive amounts of smoke which created zero visibility," and caused "extreme danger" to motorists.

Marijuana was also found in Garcia's vehicle, a 2002 Chevy Tahoe, according to police.

Garcia has been charged with marijuana possession and endangerment.
