PHOENIX — A man has allegedly been caught throwing a 24-ounce can of gasoline onto a west Phoenix roadway.
Phoenix police report that on June 6 around 7 p.m. they arrested John Edward Bronersky, age 61, in possession of two incendiary devices.
Bronersky threw a 24-ounce Mega Monster can filled with gasoline onto the roadway at 67th Avenue and McDowell Road, police say.
Court records show that Bronersky also had two more 24-ounce cans with him, one was opened with a gasoline-soaked paper "wick" sticking out of the top.
Witnesses reported to police that they earlier saw Bronersky at a nearby Circle K pumping gasoline into a red gas can.
Court records show that these items are classified as "improvised explosive devices."
Bronersky has been charged with weapons misconduct.
