GLENDALE, AZ — A man was caught on video taking photos up the skirts of young girls at Arrowhead Mall.

Glendale police report that on August 23 they responded to Arrowhead Mall, near 75th Avenue and Bell Road, for a suspicious person taking photos of women.

A man, later identified as Nicholas John Cruz, 36, was allegedly seen on security cameras inside the mall for about 90 minutes going in and out of multiple stores. Police say he was seen going into Macy's, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret and Sephora.

Mall security was concerned because Cruz was allegedly taking photos of women inside Victoria's Secret.

When police arrived, they spoke with a Sephora employee who said she had video of Cruz taking photos up the skirt of a young girl. Police say the video clearly shows Cruz standing next to two young girls, bending over and taking pictures up the skirt of one of the girls.

Police detained Cruz, who reportedly admitted to his actions, saying he was in the mall for about 90 minutes. Police are still trying to identify the victims.

Cruz has been charged with surreptitious recording.
