A woman seen leaving a Glendale apartment complex that was set on fire was heard saying, "It's just a small fire."
Glendale police report that on August 3, a woman later identified as 28-year-old Mary Nyanhial Duoth, was seen leaving the scene of an apartment that caught on fire.
When leaving the apartment complex near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road, she allegedly told security, "It's just a small fire."
Police say the "small fire" displaced three families and gutted one of the apartment units causing over $350,000 in total damage.
Duoth is well known to security at the apartment complex as a trespasser. Duoth was found and arrested for arson of an occupied structure on Thursday. Police say a meth pipe was found in her possession.
