Police arrested a DUI suspect last week after he was caught passing out beers inside a Mesa convenience store.

Mesa police report that on September 4 they were called to the QuikTrip near Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue.

It was reported that an intoxicated man was passing out beers to people inside the store.

When officers arrived, 33-year-old Brady Johnson was driving away. He reportedly jumped a curb as he was leaving.

Police caught him about a block away. They say Johnson was driving on a suspended license and had a preliminary BAC of .218.

He has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated DUI.
