PD: California DUI suspect clocked going 102 mph on US 60

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A DUI suspect from Los Angeles was allegedly caught on radar traveling at 102 mph on US 60 near Mesa Drive.

Scottsdale police report that on March 23 about 3:30 am a vehicle driven by Norman Noel Harris was caught on radar traveling 102 mph on US 60 near Mesa Drive.

Police say Harris was driving erratically, swerving from lane to lane. Harris was stopped by police on Stapley Road just north of US 60.

Harris denied that he consumed any alcohol; however, police say, his BAC level was .120.

According to court documents, Harris has multiple prior arrests including murder, 2 DUI's, car theft and various drug charges.

Harris, who is from Los Angeles, vowed not to return to Arizona to face charges.

He has been charged with aggravated DUI and given a $2,500 bond.
