A burglar is accused of stealing jewelry and weapons from an Avondale home, including firearms belonging to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Avondale police report that on July 30, they arrested Anthony Michael Devon Riley for a burglary near 99th Avenue and McDowell Road.

A week earlier, the 25-year-old allegedly broke into the home, stealing jewelry and weapons. Police say some of the weapons belonged to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Adult Probation Department.

Surveillance video at the home reportedly shows Riley leaving the house with a rifle case believed to contain the stolen items.

Police say Riley pawned the weapons and jewelry later that day. Riley was located and arrested the following week.

He has been charged with burglary and trafficking in stolen property.
