A man was arrested while he was seen washing off blood after stabbing another man on a city bus.

Phoenix police report that on June 20, a man, later identified as 29-year-old Andre Estevan Hernandez, stabbed someone on a city bus.

The bus was heading westbound on Indian School Road near 43rd Avenue when Hernandez allegedly walked up behind the victim and stabbed him once in the neck.

The victim was taken to a local hospital while Hernandez got off at the next stop. Police located him in a McDonald's restroom washing off the blood from the attack.

Police say three witnesses and surveillance video identified Hernandez as the suspect.

He's been charged with aggravated assault.
