PHOENIX — An argument where a man pointed a gun on a girl led to his arrest for child sex crimes, according to court documents.

In the evening of July 1, Phoenix police responded to 32nd and Van Buren streets for a report of a man with a gun putting a woman into a vehicle.

Police found a 16-year-old girl who accused Cristian Valadez Serna, 20, of pointing a gun at her during a verbal argument, according to court records.

She also allegedly told police that she has been in a sexual relationship with Serna since she was 15. All the sexual incidents reportedly occurred in Serna's vehicle.

When questioned by police Serna allegedly admitted to having sex with the underage girl, even recording sex with her on one occasion. He also reportedly admitted pointing a fake gun at the girl when they were arguing.

Serna has been charged with assault, sexual exploitation and numerous counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
