MARANA, AZ — A Marana man was killed in a one-punch altercation during a neighbor dispute.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office reports that on Feb. 8, they responded to a Marana home after a 911 call saying a resident found his neighbor laying in his driveway.

Paramedics responded and took the victim to Tucson for medical treatment.

One resident reportedly told deputies that there had been an ongoing dispute for having loud parties and racing quads up and down the street.

At one of these parties, according to PCSO, people were saying that the victim was using his truck to run a quad rider off the road. He also allegedly drove slowly past the party.

One person at the party, Anthony Strom, went to talk to the victim, where he reportedly punched the victim one time in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

Investigators say the victim died from a large skull fracture four days later.

On February 28, Strom was questioned with his lawyer present and allegedly said that the victim walked through his gate toward him, Strom punched him one time, and the victim fell to the ground. He then left and walked back to the party.

Strom was arrested for second-degree murder.
