ELOY, AZ — An Eloy man has been arrested by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, accused of trying to lure a teen girl.

PCSO says 34-year-old Sean Cook began messaging a 15-year-old girl on social media, commenting on her appearance. Cook is also accused of asking her to meet in person.

With the permission of the teen and her family, PCSO says an internet crimes detective began communicating with Cook as the teen.

PCSO says while communicating with the detective, Cook arranged to meet the teen for sex.

Cook was subsequently arrested and booked into the Pinal County Jail for luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

"I commend this teen and her family for staying vigilant online," said Sheriff Mark Lamb. "And let this be a warning to others who wish to lure minors online. Our detectives are watching, and you will be caught."
