A deadly road rage shooting where three people were shot, and one killed remains unsolved since 2002.

It was December 19, 2002, about 3:30 p.m. when 15-year-old Laura Camacho was riding in a car with two friends on 43rd Avenue, near McDowell Road.

There was an altercation between the people in this car and a white or beige Lincoln Town car, as someone threw something from one car to another.

Soon after, shots rang out. Laura was shot in the head and killed instantly. Another teen was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the driver ran to get help.

Police say there were four people in the suspect’s car and police have sketches of the driver and shooter from information provided by the dozens of witnesses.
