The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for having sex with a teen he met on an internet dating site.
Court documents show that 20-year-old Irvin Avila Cortes met the girl about 10 months ago on the internet site "Hot or Not." The victim told Cortes that she was 13 at the time.
An MCSO deputy says they caught Cortes with the girl around 4 a.m. on February 28, while checking on a car parked at a Sun City park, near 117th Avenue and Williams Drive.
The deputy approached the car and found the two in the car, under a blanket.
The deputy says that Irvin instructed the victim to give a false name and to say she was 18-years-old.
The victim told investigators that they met on the website but saw each other for the first time in December. She said they met multiple times and developed a sexual relationship.
Cortes was arrested later that day at his home in Phoenix near Cave Creek and Bell Roads.
Cortes is being held without bond on seven counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
