A man put on probation in June for a child sex crime is accused of soliciting a child for sex.

Chandler Police report that on Aug. 30 they arrested 21-year-old Pablo Edgar Roldan while he was meeting what he believed was a 14-year-old girl for sex. An undercover officer had many online conversations with Roldan as he offered her $80 in exchange for sex.

The undercover officer was posing as a 14-year-old girl and Roldan allegedly portrayed himself as a 16-year-old, according to court paperwork. They agreed to meet near Germann and Dobson roads. Roldan was arrested after pushing away the officer and running away on foot.

Court records show that Roldan pled guilty in June to child abuse with sexual motivation. He was sentenced to a seven-year probation.

He is now being held without bond on charges of resisting arrest, child prostitution and attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
