PHOENIX — A man has been arrested for manslaughter 16-months after a 14-year-old girl was killed in a crash in north Phoenix.

Last week police arrested 22-year-old Srecko Spasojevic near the Target store on Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road.

Spasojevic was indicted last month for being responsible for the crash that killed Shelby Faught and injured four others.

On November 2, 2017, authorities were called to the area of Tatum Boulevard and Cave Creek Road after receiving reports of a crash involving two cars. Witnesses told police that an SUV and a silver sedan collided, causing the car to roll over.

Five people were inside of the silver vehicle, including Faught who was ejected from the car, police said. The teenage girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

One of Faught's friends told ABC15 he feels for those who never got a chance to meet her.

"You missed out on really getting to know a wonderful, passionate girl that had a lot of things going for her in life," said friend Chavez Bell.

Four others were taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

Spasojevic has been indicted for manslaughter and four counts of endangerment.
