GILBERT, AZ — A Gilbert man was charged after reportedly sending pornographic Instagram messages to students during class.

Gilbert police report that on August 14 they arrested Demetrios Nicholas Kretsedemas, 18, at his home near Val Vista Drive and Queen Creek Road.

In May, multiple victims contacted them saying they were receiving Instagram messages while they were in school. The messages would ask their age and their opinion regarding a question. When the student responded they were allegedly sent obscene pictures.

The victims, who all attend the Arizona Leading Edge Academy in Gilbert, told the suspect to stop but he refused.

Investigators tracked the IP address to Kretsedemas' home. Police found out that Kretsedemas has five Instagram accounts and was reportedly using two of them to message the victims.

Upon his arrest, Kretsedemas admitted sending the material to the underage victims.

He has been charged with luring a minor for sexual exploitation and unlawfully misrepresenting his age.
