This Friday, we're looking for your help to track down a fugitive in our state

Wanted: Derek Alan Steele
Charges: Probation violation on amended charges of attempted child molestation

Police are searching for Derek Alan Steele for probation violations regarding amended charges of attempted child molestation.

Court paperwork shows Steele failed to continue his participation in substance abuse counseling and was positively tested for methamphetamine 13 times while he was in the program.

Steele was kicked out of sex offender counseling because his attitudes were, "poisonous and destructive to the group."

His original charges came in 2015 when a family member confided to a pastor that he had been molested years earlier as a child by Steele, who was ten years older than him, but still a minor at the time. Steele was sentenced to lifetime probation for the offense.

Steele is 27 years old, 6-feet tall, and 210 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
