PHOENIX — A woman involved in a road rage scooter crash continued driving to work, leaving an injured man behind.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reports that on September 16, a man and woman, later identified as 23-year-old Khamari Vandell Thomas, got into an argument while driving on Indian School Road.

Both vehicles went onto SR-51 where a witness says Thomas, in her Volkswagen Jetta, and the victim, on his scooter, were both were "driving aggressively."

DPS says Thomas "braked checked" and swerved into the scooter, causing it to slide off the road. The victim was thrown from the scooter, striking his head on the ground.

Court records show the victim suffered from multiple skull fractures, brain bleed and other injuries.

DPS says Thomas made several 911 calls but continued driving to work, refusing to speak with responding troopers.

She has been charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident.
