PHOENIX — DPS finds $19,000 in cash and 30 pounds of coins during a north Phoenix drug raid.

DPS reports that on June 25, DPS SWAT officers raided a motel room near I-17 and Dunlap Avenue. In the room, they reportedly found several bags of cocaine and Percocet packaged for sale.

Edward Eugene Riley, 33, was arrested at the scene. DPS says Riley has an extensive criminal history with convictions for weapons violations, robbery, burglary, and unlawful flight.

Inside the room, they also reportedly found a scale and a "loaded firearm hidden within the bathroom wall tile," according to court records.

DPS seized $19,000 in cash and 30 pounds of U.S. currency in coins.

Riley has been charged with weapons misconduct, money laundering, and selling narcotics.
