A motorcyclist with two felony warrants reportedly fled an Arizona Department of Transportation trooper at 120 miles per hour on Interstate 10.

DPS reports that around midnight Monday morning, a trooper detected a motorcycle going about 104 miles per hour on Interstate 17 near McDowell Road.

The trooper attempted to stop the motorcycle near I-10 and 7th Street, however, the motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Jimmy Louis Reid, reportedly "accelerated rapidly, cutting in and out of traffic" at a speed of about 120 miles per hour.

DPS says several motorists were forced to take evasive action to avoid being hit by Reid.

Reid was detained by DPS near I-10 and 40th Street after his engine failed. DPS says they found "a baggy of methamphetamine" in his pocket.

Authorities report that Reid has two felony warrants from Florida.

He was arrested for speeding and unlawful flight.
